I am in the process of purchasing a home and would like to remove existing ceramic tile and replace it with wood flooring. 1) What is the process of removing the ceramic tile? 2) How difficult is the process? 3) What would I need to do to install the wood flooring over the existing ceramic tile? 4) How do you transition from wood flooring to carpet when the wood flooring is installed over exsiting ceramic tile?

Hi John & welcome to the forums.
Depends on how the tile was laid, if it's set on cbu then it's gonna be hard, if it's set on a mudbed, well don't plan a vacation this year. It's hard, dusty work, it can be done, but it ain't for the faint of heart.
There's several ways to transition between different floor coverings, depending on your taste & pocketbook, & the particular situation.
