We picked up this Sanyo tv from a friend for 50 bucks.
The only problem is that it has a very dark picture.
The brightness control is all the way up.

Sanyo model DS25390

Any easy way to make the pic more watchable for the kids room?

Take the back off. There is a transformer about the size of your fist. It has a wire coming off the top (1/4" dia) going to the top of the picture tube. on this transformer is 2 adjustments. Focus and screen. turn up the screen a little. Dont go hog wild with this adj.
