i have painted my bedroom suite with off white satin oil base paint. what can i use for a protective coat what does not yellow over time? is there anything besides the varnish or poly.i would like something i could rub on but better something beside wax. looking forward for some advice. thanks

Paint does not require a protective finish, such as: polyurethane. It is a finish in its own right.
Waxing furniture helps to protect the finish, if it is needed.
