We are building a new master bath and it will have an approx. 6.5 x 3.5 foot walk in tile shower. The bath floor is have 12" tile. What is the generally recommended tile size for the shower walls? What about the shower floor tile size?

My way of thinking is the larger the tile the fewer the grout lines. The fewer the grout lines that need to cleaned in a few years. I used white 8 x 8 with some 4 X 4 blue dots put in a randomly.

as a rule the bigger tile goes on the wall in showers and the smaller ones on the floor they will conform to the slope better:cool:

What ever turns you on for the walls and something smaller for the floor since it has to go down to the drain.
