Hose??
You mean one of those white flex hose?
If so, I'd suggest removing those all together!!! They are the "worse" thing you can use on any dryer.. They are known to build up with lint, and a fire waiting to happen. Also, with those type of venting line, they have alot of ridge, and acts like a bummper.. so that slows down the air flow.
The "hot" dryer, slow drying means venting issues..
Replace it with ridged aluliume (SP) pipe, also check your vent outside to make sure the flapper isn't stuck close.
I've seen a child stick a rag into the vent and blocked off the air flow some what.
Another testy ou can do is remove the venting pipe (hose) off and run a load and see what happens..

Hello: Ant
If the venting system is not bent, kinked, the vent hood flapper working freely and or vent restricted with excess lint, there are a few other possibilities. Below are some of the most common.
Defective Glow Coil:
The glow coil may glow but just be too weak to allow current to continue to flow to the coils. The solenoid coils are also part of the electrical loop and may effect proper glow coil operation or functioning.
Defective Solenoids:
There are two...both are on top of the gas valve.
Solenoids also supply voltage to the glow coil and are part of the electrical loop. All terminals on both solenoids must have continuity. If not, you'll need to remove them from the top of the gas valve by removing the entire gas valve assembly first.
Remove both solenoids off the gas valve body by removing the holddown cover plate and replace them both if defective. They are sold only in pairs. Or take the entire gas valve unit to your local appliance parts store and have the entire assembly and all the parts tested individually and as an assembly.
Defective Gas Valve:
Remove entire unit as an assembly. Take the entire assembly to your local appliance parts store for testing. Gas valves are not repairable. Replacement is the only option if defective.
CAUTION: Do Not attempt to repair the gas valve! This is a non repairable item!
Flame Sensor:
This part is located on the burner housing. If it's defective, it will cause the glow coil to not function or cause the problem your discribing. You can test this part with a continuity tester or an ohm meter. However, do not soley rely on this test to prove the part is functioning correctly.
Reading some of the already asked questions on dryers that provide heating problems, no heating or little heat will contain information on other possible causes and the solutions.
Retail appliance parts dealers can also help determine what the possible problem may be also. They will need the make, model and serial numbers.
Appliance parts dealers are an excellent source for original replacement parts. Dealers are listed in the phone book under appliances.
