Gardening and Horticulture - Fruit trees blooming...

As I understand it, the blooms of a fruit tree are it's fruit. ie, not blooms, no fruit??? I have three fruit trees, all are dwarf trees. One Mac, one Courtland and a peach. (the peach is self pollenating),... The mac has bloomed and lots of green, the peach looks a bit sickly but I am seeing some green buds, not flowering though, and the courtland had green although a bit spotty for my taste, but no flowers....any ideas why??? all three are about 7 years old.AND because they didn't bloom at the same time to cross pollenate, will there be any fruit bearing this year??? :confused:

FWIW, I got two apples the same kind to help the pollenation dilemma.

As you said, no bloooms, no fruit. If the two have to bloom at the same time in order to pollenate, the timing worked against you.

We had blooms here, then a late frost took care of that.

I'm wondring if there is a way to manipulate the blooming to delay....It seems every couple years the late frost knocks off the blooms... Ya know, like a heavy feeding before they bloom. I heard they tend to push alot of green doing this???
