The porcelain is scratched from a drain cleaning tool. Does anyone know how to remove these scratches? I hope they're not permanent! :(

Get a pumice stone (available at hardware stores) and you should be able to wet-scrub the scratches off with it.
Good Luck!

Thanks Mike! What a relief. So you're a self proclaimed unlicensed do it yourselfer, huh? Be that as it may, you have obviously helped out a bunch of people on this forum. I'm sure we're all very glad you're here. Thanks so much for the help. I think you deserve an honorary certificate of do it yourselfing! Or how 'bout the keys to the cyber city?! Anyway, thanx again and keep up the good work.

Murph,
I believe in "truth in advertising", so to speak.
There are two very excellent Co-Moderator pro plumbers on this forum, for instance, who are FAR more knowledgeable than me, and I just try to fill in the blanks as another DIYer (different perspective).
There also are some very good pro plumber Members who contribute on this forum, and I always defer to the pros.
I just approach things as another DIYer, and I hope that the folks needing help understand me and my approach to problems.
Sometimes I blow an answer, and sometimes the blind hog here finds an acorn. LOL
The pumice stone (solidified volcanic lava foam) should solve your problem.
Good Luck!
Mike
