I want to replace two side by side windows with patio doors. Is there a step by step process that I can use to do this?

How wide are the windows? Are you planning on installing a door in place of each window (2 doors), or just one door in place of both windows? How far apart are the windows? Any electrical or plumbing between the windows, from the floor to the header?

yES i AM PLANNING TO REPLACE A DOUBLE WINDOW.There is an outlet down below the windows that will have to be moved but I dont think tha will be a huge problem. It is an area 5'10" across and it is a double pane window area. I want to pull those windows out and replace them with double patio doors that go out to the deck area. The exterior is a brick and I am sure that part of that brick has to be snatched out. Help!!!!!

Assuming that the two windows have a common, continuious header, the task is fairly easy. Most difficult part would be cutting the brick exterior and trimming it to match (or at least coordinate with) the rest of the house's exterior trim.
When you measure the opening at 5'-10", I'm guessing that there is sheetrock and possibly other trim involved, so that the rough opening is right at 71" or 72" in width. You should be OK with that. Moving the elctrical isn't that much of a issue, but the outlet that you see is probably in the middle of the circuit. IF the wiring is run through the walls, you will have to move the outlet to one side of the opening, then reroute the wire around the opening in order to feed the rest of the outlets on the circuit.
The only other real issue is if these 2 windows have seperate headers and a post between them. You would have to make that a continuious header.
