I decided to replace all my windows with vinyl replacement windows.
I received a quote today from a very reputable company .
But I'm not familiar with the prce of these products.
I need 6 double hung, insulated glass, low-e type windows.
The sales rep. told me he sells only the best.
They sell Uniframe,Hi-R4, Low-E, Argon filled mfg'd by Great Lakes
windows. Total cost of removal, replacement, clean up etc $3688.00 .. does anyone have any idea if this is a fair price?
Thanks, John//////////////
Each new window is all vinyl. The old ones are aluminum.
The fronts are 2 side by side 33"x60" on the 1'st level and the same upstairs.
The others ar 2 singles 32"x60" in the back of the house..

First, some more info on the windows.

What size are they?

Are they all vinyl, vinyl ext/wood int, or steel (or aluminum) ext/wood int?

Finally, any extras on the windows such as brass hardware, night latches, or grills?

Well, you're getting ready to pay $600/window for a window ( or an equal window ) that would cost about $200 and you could an installer to put in for $75.

You be the judge if the other $325 represents a fair mark up for overhead, commission and profit.

Personally, , I'd get a few more estimates.
