hey all...i was taking a shower this morning in my usually strong pressured shower, when all of the sudden, the pressure dropped like a rock....it was still coming out ok, but not nearly as strong. I checked the other shower in my place, as well as the facuets and their pressure was just fine. any suggestion as to what could of happened??????????

Thanks in advance....
Jason

What brand and type of shower faucet do you have? Single-handle? Dual-handle?
The problem is probably within the facuet itself, or it may be debris in the showerhead.

not sure of the brand, but it is a dual handle...if it is debris, does that make sense that it happened all of the sudden...is that common?

Suddenly is not common, but possible.
Simple test. Remove the showehead counter-clockwise, and try the pressure without it.
If you have good pressure without it, clean out the showerhead.
Do you have galvanized pipes or are you on a well?
Is this a shower only or is it a shower/tub with a separate diverter?

I have galvanized pipes and it's a shower only. another note -- i just moved in last week to this place and put on this showerhead (that i have had for only about 6 months)... it's not cheap one, so i'm wondering if it might be something else....i'll try it though, because that would be great if it was just that....but something tells me it isn't :(

Galvanized pipes are notorious for scaling up inside until they plug up completely.
If you do any "plumbing" on them, even so much as changing a showerhead, you can dislodge scale particles that can clog a showerhead. Water hammer can cause the same thing with them.
Bet that's it. Scale particles clogging the new showerhead.
Flush the line before reinstalling it.
Good Luck!

Thanks Mike! That's exactly what it was. Fixed it up last night.
