I AM PLANNING ON INSTALLING 4 PANAL 60" BIFOLD ON A CLOSET I AM CONSTRUCTING AS PART OF MY BASEMENT REMODELING.

I WILL NEED TO SHORTEN THE DOOR BECAUSE OF LOWER CEILINGS AND TO MATCH ANOTHER DOOR I WILL BE CUTTING AND REBLOCKING.

ARE THERE ANY PROBLEMS I MAY INCUR OR SPECIAL PROCEDURES I SHOULD TAKE CUTTING AND REBLOCKING THE BI-FOLDS?

I AM PLANNING TO CUT THE DOORS IN PAIRS WITH HINGES INSTALLED USING A RIF FENCE AND FINISHING BLADE ON MY SKILL SAW.

Just make sure that you remove all hardware and plastic parts from the top and bottom before cutting.
You will have to redrill the holes, if you cut them off too deep.
Good Luck!

If it's a true wood frame and panel door, what Mike said will sure do it.

If it's a hollow core, hardboard type "panel" door, if you cut them off more than about 1 1/2", ( less on some ) you'll cut away the solid strip at the bottom and be into the "hollow". Save the strip you cut off, use a sharp chisel or utility knife to cut away the hardboard face off the solid strip, then chisel enough of the cardboard stiffeners up in the hollow part of the door to allow you to slide the wood strip back in the new bottom, glue and clamp until it sets and you're back in business.
