Hi, I hope some one can help me with this problem.I have a 17 foot bayliner boat and want to install a 120hp force outboard motor.What my qustion is how far from the bottom of the boat is the cavitation plate on the motor suppose to be?I did check and the boat is rated for a 125hp motor so I know that my force is OK for the hull. Thank You.

The cav plate should be level with very bottom of the boat.
