I love the look of the baseboards and windows trim painted a color that coordinates with the room, rather than plain white. BUT -- how do you handle where the baseboard from one room continues into another? Does anyone know the rule for this, or what the acceptable way to it is? Or, do I have to stick with all the same color because of that?

Any tips appreciated!

If there is a doorway or passageway involved, change colors on one side of the doorway or the other.
