Previous owners pets left stains on a friends oak hardwood floor. can this be fixed?? Does it depend on how deep the stain goes?? if sanding a portion of the floor, i suppose the whole floor must be sanded to keep the color consistant???

In most cases board replacement is the only way to remove pet stains. Sanding them could make them lighter but there is no gaurentee they will come out.
