The formica on a set of cabinets made for us looks awful. You see a seam on the front side. Is this correct, or is there a process whereby you see it from behind? Where can I go to get proper documentation to show the contractor the way it is supposed to be done?

You need to post this in KITCHENS. If the seams are tight then it is normal to have seams on the face frame. Doors, sides and exposed backs of cabinets normally don't if you can get a large enough sheet to cover the surface in one piece.

Is the seam on the cabinet "box" or doors or is it on the counter top?
