Stucco house 5 years old. Gathering estimates to paint. Would like to hear from anyone with experience in painting a stucco house. What is the best paint to use? Can the Vinyl trim be painted? One painter stated that Vinyl trim can be painted another advised against it. I mixed a solution of ZEP House wash and bleach to test on the trim, the results were excellent. Leaning towords cleaning the trim work and not painting. Suggestions, ideas would be welcomed.

In my experience, painting stucco is the same as any other surface. Clean, repair, prime as needed, and paint. Usually best results from acrylic latex paint. Depending upon the roughness of the stucco you might try a 1/2" nap roller pad.

You can paint vinyl, so long as not a color darker than the original. I would not do it.

It can be surprising how nice a house looks simply because it is clean.

Hope this helps.
