I put 3 coats of poly on my wood floors and now I notice a couple areas where I did not smooth out the polyurethane well enough. So, I now have a few "ridges" of dried poly. Should I sand the floor down with 200grit or 220 sandpaper to even these out? Steel wool wouldn't get it. Please help.....

one thing you can try is to scrape the pile off with a good scraper(buy a new one so it comes off without leaving digs from a used blade) Lightly sand the affected area with 150 grit Feathering it away from the puddle you removed using a foam brush or china bristle brush recoat the area being sure to blend in both directions in front and behind the puddle. It takes a steady hand and patience to get it to look right.
