Hello

I just got back from Disney with the Family and while there dropped the camera

once again a sony dcr-trv830 .... the fall cracked the lcd monitor on the side .... the camera works otherwise and I was still able to get some great shots just using the viewfinder...

I took the side panel apart to reveal the lcd panel and cannot for the life of me figure out which number on it is the part number or where I can/should get a repacement

If someone knows this part number (it is the 3.5 " screen)
and an approximate price and has suggestions I would be eternally grateful

Thanx
Christopher

I really doubt that someone will carry the 3.5" screen for SONY TRV. You might want to try eBay to see if you can pick up a cheap one on same or similar model that you can rip it apart for spare screen.

I was surprised to see that same model of SONY TRV that I have on ebay are bidding at far much less price than what I paid for mine.

Check with Sony they have a repair program with a flat rate. This can save BIG bucks. Last I checked it was about $150.

Thanx guys for all your help

I wound up calling a couple of parts distributors wo gave me mixed part #'s and prices

finally called Sony and got the actual part number and was surprised to find out that they also had the cheapest part price!!

wound up setting me back 330 with 2 day shipping

plopped it in and presto instantly good as new!

thanks for your suggestions

Christopher
