I'm working on a 1988 80cc yamaha sno scoot and it runs ok when idling but when you open up the throttle it will bog down and quit. I cleaned the carb and it is getting the fuel to the carb. But i noticed that the intake boot from the carb to the engine has a crack in it. Would this cause this problem?

Yes it could. Its allows to much air in and breaks the seal that allows the engine to suck the fuel out of the carb and into the chamber.
