Solid Hardwood, Engineered and Laminate Flooring - Bamboo flooring on concrete slab

I live in Albuquerque NM and want to put in a Bamboo floor. It IS dry here except for about one week in August. Can I put a manufactured Bamboo floor onto slab? Do I need to nail it into the concrete with a special system, or do I have to glue it? Either way, how important is a vapor barrier in a dry climate? If I need one, how do you incorporate that into the installation over concrete?

Lots of questions, but I know somebody has done this before.

Solid 3/4" hardwood flooring is installed over 3/4" plywood subfloor (OSB acceptable) on concrete above grade (not in basement). A vapor retarder of polyproylene (plastic) is installed over concrete, then plywood, or a 2 x 4 sleeper system, for receiving the wood flooring. Dry cliamte actually have MORE moisture related failures than humid ones.

Underground water vapor is drawn to towrads the dry air right through your slab.
