We just bought the house with D'Hanis floor but we don't know how to maintenance. The floor now has white stain and dirty. Call for estimate cleaning, the guy said will be about $3000+ for 1500 sqft. Any idea where I can find info or try to do it myself.

A helpful site is www.stonecare.com for cleaning and maintenance info for tile and natural stone products as well as problem solving products for stains. I am assuming you have a terra cotta floor that needs cleaning and sealing. White stains could be calcium deposits from hard water. Oil stains tend to be a problem with unglazed tiles that are not kept sealed.

Is the terra cotta floor the same as D'Hanis floor? I don't know much about stone tile

Is your floor unglazed terra cotta tile? There are many manufacturer's of terra cotta flooring. D'Hanis is one. If so, you can learn about terra cotta at www.stonecare.com If you are sure it is D'Hanis, you can contact them direct for additional info.
