I will be installing 10"wide, 3/4" thick wide pine flooring (not tongue and groove) that varies in length from 3'-8', how should the nails (square head) be spaced, or should they be just at the ends of the boards ?
thanks, chris

The subfloor is 2x12, 18" on center. The house is about 100 years old, the joists are really nice hand cut timbers, appear to oak

Construction adhesive and lots of nails. Large bead 1" from each edges and one down the middle.
