My house and garage are unattached and what I'm wanting to do is make it so it's attached, and use the space between the two as an entry way. It's only about 6 feet apart, and has a concrete slab. My question is can I build off the concrete slab or should I pour footings? I can see one area of the concrete slab and it's about 2 feet deep??

any suggestions?
