I am planning on repainting the interior of my home. I want to remove the old paint first. I believe there are about 5 layers of oil based paint on them now. Does anyone have any idea how I could remove it?

Sounds as if paint stripper is your ticket. A product named Peel-away is supposed to remove many layers at once. I have not used it. Most main stream strippers such as Klean Kut will take it off for you.

Good luck.

5 layers of oil, good luck :( I'd cover it with 1/4" rock & then repaint. Look like brand new :D :D

Chris hopefully had some more practical advise there for ya. Best of luck.
