We are remodeling my childhood home and have a floor problem.
The original hardwood floors are beautiful, but are screwed up.
The person who refinished them didn't know what he was doing and now they are full of bubbles, grit, fuzzies, etc and the poly is peeling at the baseboards.
Yeah I know.....DUMB, DOH !!
Do I have any option besides PROFESSIONAL resanding and refinishing ??
Molls  <---- obviously wasn't wearing her brain that day !!

Looks like bite the bullet time. It sounds like the floor needs to be sanded to new wood. To remove all contaminates from the existing T&G that will react with your finish. Your problem is if you want to roll the dice on another amateur.

Sounds like a classic adhesion problem due to poor sanding and finishing technics the floor will need to be sanded to new wood to remedy the situation. What type of finish did they use???
