what is the right way to lay laminate flooring in a bathroom, around or under the toilet?

It depends on the use and the lifestyle. For me the right way to install in a bath room is not at all. If you plan on the tub for washing a 75 pound collie or the kids have sea battles once a week, don't install a wood product in a bath room. If you have a guest bath that is seldom used, run the planks under the stool. Use lots of silicone if you do it and remember "men miss".
