I am beginning a project to install shoe mouldings and quarter rounds. I have to stain the trim and wanted to know if it's better to stain all the trim then measure, cut and install or should I measure and cut BEFORE I stain?

In my experience i have learned that the best way that works for me is to stain and poly it all and then measure and cut.
I always coat my wood molding with poly. I do not want poly or stain in my miter cuts as many have to be exact and a poly drip can be a pain in the ass to remove without messing up the cut.
Best of luck !!!
