When laying a new tile floor in bathroom, I understand new cast iron tub sits on subfloor, but when the backer-board is down and tiles are installed, How do you prevent water from going through grout line at edge of tub, to backer-board? or does it matter? Thanks Patkue

patkue,
It's done by using 100% Silicone caulk - it will seal the gap between the two.
Good Luck!
