I'm getting ready to sheetrock a ceiling that has been insulated and strapped. Is it a good idea to use construction adhesive when installing the sheetrock along with screws?????

Hi Joe,

Don't try glueing your ceiling rock, you will regret the experience. ;) What is used is drywall adhesive, not liquid nails, and the only time it's used is for interior walls.

You do want to hang your rock across your joists & be sure to use 5 fastners per joist. What we commonly do is nail the outside perimeter & use screws in the field of the sheet. Hope that helps.

Best of luck & be sure to have your wheaties that morning you're gonna do this project. :D
