Like a previous member, I want to use an old solid maple student's desk as my bathroom vanity. Are there any dos and don'ts for this project? Do you recommend a vanity/sink top? Or will several coats of poly work just as well? Is there a particular type of poly to use? Is this just not a good idea? My better half is not too thrilled......
Thanks
Thanks

char1977,
I would get a nice self rimming sink and use this. The issue of the coating to be applied might be Minwax Polyureathane but for better advice on finishing applications, post this question in Decorate under Painting and consult a good paint store for advice. I admit I hate to do anything with a brush...glad I have a girlfriend!!
Good Luck!
