Does your furnace have a LED light?

Could be one of a number of different things.

Please read the first posting to this forum concerning what information we need to better help you. Without more specific info, any suggestions would be no better than guessing at your problem.

Hope this helps...let us know :)

The pilot lights after a call for heat. Sometimes the burners light just for an instant then go out.

Dear td--

Maybe I wasn't clear enough about being more specific with information concerning your problem with the furnace. Could you tell us the age, brand, and model number of your furnace, type of thermostat?

Thanks

Sorry thought you just wanted more about the problem. The brand of this furnace is Comfortmaker Manufactured in 1986. Model # GDD1256016-IN. That's all I could read on the identification plate.

Dear td--

You may have a flame sensor problem (it's the most common thing on your type of furnace). Turn off the power to the furnace and locate the sensor (it will be the thin metal rod near the pilot light) If you can remove it, give it a light sanding with fine sand paper to clean it, then reinstall the sensor. Check the wiring from the ignition control to the gas valve for tight and clean connections. Turn the power back on and see if the furnace will stay on now.
