I recently bought a Scag ZTR mower with the Kawasaki FH601V 19hp engine and while going through the manual I noticed that the 19hp,21hp and the 23hp all had the same displacement 675cc. So I emailed Kawasaki and they said the only difference was the carburetor. So my question is does anybody here know if there is a modification that can be done to the 19hp carb to convert it to the 23hp engine.

Hello rickyblaze, I don't have a concrete answer to your question but do know with B&S, Tecumseh and others that use carb enhancements to raise HP it is done by rejetting and enlarging the venturi and other orifaces. One carb may look like the next one but the differences are measured in thousandths....Mike
