I'm planning to remove the t1-11 siding from the front of my home, because extreme weather damage. I decided to replace the whole house and put hardipanel. Any tips on removing the existing siding, and once the siding is off, is there any preventive messures to do, for insect, weather or other?

You can just pull the old siding off, cut along between the studs to create a place to get a hold of it. You can drive the nails into the studs from the outside with a nail set if that helps.

For best results, the new siding will benefit from being painted along the bottom edge prior to installation. Siding does best when properly primed and painted and maintained over time.
