I am stripping some oak cabinets that have leaded glass glued into the oak framed doors. I desperately want to save the glass for reuse in the finish project. How can I safely remove the glass from the oak framed cabinet doors?
Thanks for any help.

Most older glues will dissolve when treated with warmed white vinegar.

I will try the warm white vinegar and inform you of the results. In the meantime, I welcome other solutions.

George,
Thanks. The warm white vinegar worked perfectly in loosening the glue, freeing the leaded glass with relative ease. Now I will be able to reuse the glass in the finish project.
