We have a 2001 Mercury Sable. I believe the keys that work it are a transponder type. I know that to make a duplicate, you need to present two keys to the dealer. Is this something a locksmith can do?.... or should I just take it to the dealer who always charges top dollar?

Many locksmiths stay current with the new auto technology as it becomes available. Give them a call for a quote. Good luck.
