I have a concrete front porch (15 X 8), and would like to lay the same pavers used for a walkway from the porch to the garage. Any advice on how best to do this so the pavers stay where they're supposed to be? What type of mortar will be best?

Hi,

We will be glad to help you, but we need some additional information:

You wrote "...would like to lay the same pavers used for a walkway from the porch to the garage...". Can you tell us what kind of pavers are?

Also we need to know if the pavers you have are installed on concrete.

Sure, I can offer more information. We are using the Boston Colonial Pavers from Ideal Concrete (idealconcreteblock.com) in our walkway which will be constructed on a bed of process stone/ and stone dust.

Hi,

I visited the site of the manufacturer, and I confirmed that these pavers can't be installed on concrete, because as you stated they must be installed on a enclosed bed of sand / clay.

I have the same question. My walkway is 4" x 8" pavers from Home Depot. Whats the best method of securing them over concrete steps.

Thanks.

What would the problems be by laying these pavers with mortar?
