I am relandscaping the front yard and would like to tile or lay brick over our existing concrete walkway. the problem is that the walkway ends at the driveway. How can I easily transition to this area? Is there a transition piece to lay between or am I stuck with a lip at the end of the walkway. I want it to look finished and avoid any falls. Also, are there any special things to keep in mind when laying tile or brick over an existing concrete walkway? Thank you for any help you can provide me!

Hi,

Sorry by the delay

Just some questions,

Can you inform us about the type of brick / paver? Because some of them can't be installed on concrete
Other question is about the thickness of these bricks: are you sure that the concrete + the bricks thickness will not create a step with the driveway?

Regards

I have not picked a paver yet, but i would like to use some type of slate or tumbled stone look...the driveway actually a little higher than the walkway so if i choose a thin paver, it should be even or ever so slightly higher. A neighbor is doing a similar project and it appears that the stone they chose is thin....any ideas or suggestions on what to choose would be helpful also.

Hi,

Consider these materials

http://www.navastone.com/index.htm

Both are very thin and great for a DIY proyect

Hope this helps
