Is there a need to seal teak furniture that is outdoors year round?
If so what is the best product and procedures such as cure time. This furniture is in a public area and very expensive so if it needs treated let me know.

A couple facts:
First, teak is a very oily wood. Before any coating is applied wipe down with acetone or alcohol. Second, before applying any coating, make sure that it is DRY (less than 15% moisture content). Bringing it indoors, into a heated room for 3-4 days prior helps.
Lastly, go to www.epifanes. They sell marine coatings, and have a whole section on Teak.
Good Luck,
Bob
