Our bathroom was remodeled by previous owners a few years prior to our purchase of the home. I believe we have a moisture problem.
Most nail heads on the walls are rusting and beginning to pop through the paint.
The bathroom originally had a shower stall and heating vent, but when the shower stall was replaced with a bath tub the vent was covered.
The window is glass block and cannot be opened.
The fan mounted on the ceiling doesn't appear to run to the exterior of the house. The exhaust tube runs toward the center of the house with the only close place to run it being the chimney. My guess is the fan doesn't send the moist air anywhere though.
What kind of options do I have for removing or handling the moisture?

Install ducting from the exisitng fan to the exterior wall of the house.

And get a fan of adequate size and ensure that it works.
