I'm trying to find out, what is the correct way to refinish the outside of an old Cedar Storage box. I would like directions and good materials to use. I have been told that you don't refinish Cedar wood the same way you do regular woods.

If you're looking to refresh the interior to obtain the fragrance, a sanding with 220 grit paper will do the trick. If you're talking about the outside, strip and refinish...
