How do you maintain a tile kitchen floor? My tile is unglazed. It is about 7 years old - previously owned house.
Cleaning? With what?
Re-sealing? When?
Any step by step info anywhere?
All info appreciated.

Unglazed tile tends to perform best if kept sealed with a penetrating sealing. As it is unglazed, it has no protection from spills, soils, and stains. If sealed, tile maintenance is easier. Floors can be maintained with pH neutral cleaner.

Use scouring past on unglazed floors. Let paste stand 5 minutes, scrub with brush, rinse and wipe dry. Use scrubbing machine on large floors.

My favorite tile and stone care site is www.stonecare.com
