i tiled my walk in shower with marble 12X12s. i am bringing the the tile out and finishing around the doorframe with 4" strips. the ends are not polished and are very different in color from the polished sides. without having to polish, is there anything i can apply to the ends to make them look the same as the polished fronts?
thanks for the advice.

If you have already installed the marble it is to late to do what is required to make the edges look like the face of the marble. You can use a little urethane and a foam brush to help the edges look a little closer the face of the marble. You will probably still be able to see cutting marks and a little dulling but it may not be quite as noticable. If you caulk the trim to the wall that would also help it be less noticable.

polyurethane is a good idea or you could also try the "wax" polish that they use on VCT tiles like in K-mart and Wal-mart.
Polyurethane has a yellow color that the polish doesn't have.
Armstrong has a finish that might work for you. Or use a latex based urethane.
