I have seen marble tile floors with grout as well as without grout. Which way will result in a stronger (less likely to crack) floor?

Hi
I've never done, or even seen a floor without grout...so I vote grouted.:)

Having layed many marble tile floors with grout and never having seen one without grout--- are you sure that there was no grout or just very close grout joints ?
Most people lay marble tiles very very close together but still use unsanded grout the grout them.
1/16 " or less is common but is still grouted.

I would not consider laying a marble floor with a "big" grout joint.
