We have 4 decorative aluminum columns on our front porch. Recently I decided to replace the existing boxes under the columns as they were rotting out. To make a long story short, one of the columns came out and and was subsequently trashed, so I am looking to find someone to put up a new one. I am having a hard time finding someone that does this sort of thing. Anyone have any ideas?

Start in the Yellow Pages, under Patio Covers, Patio Construction, or Mobile Homes -- Repair and Service.

If that doesn't get you started, then search for Metals USA on the web. At their site, click on build materials. You will find an "800" numer for their corporate offices and locations of their plants. Call teh plant closest to you and ask for the names of a couple of contractors in your area. They should be able to put you in touch with the right people.
