I currently have aluminum window casings on the outside of my windows. I am planning on re-siding with vinyl and want to paint the window frames white. They are currently a drab, olive color.

I'm planning on scratching up with light sandpaper and cleaning well, of course.

Is it ok to paint the outside of the windows in the first place and what paint should I use?

Thanks!! ;)

Hello CBaldwin1999, there are many good paints out there for a project like this but my #1 choice would be Sherwin Williams Direct to Metal (DTM) for raw aluminum. If already painted any good latex house paint should be fine.....Mike
