looking to re-paint interior & have new wood molding installed in the house, how do you best remove the old paint edge (on the drywall) from above the old baseboard after being removed ????

After you remove the baseboard, scrape and sand the ridge of paint and caulk that remains to produce a smoother surface.

as chfite said scrape and sand it,just wanted to add use a carbide tip scraper,very sharp and will last long also it will lessen the chance of sraping more paint off the wall area requiring patching.scrape lightly a few times dont try to scrape the ridge off in one failed swipe.get it down low then feather sand it in.
