I have a Lenox furnace that is not igniting the burners consistently. This problem started about 2 weeks ago. I was able to get the furnace going by diconnecting the backpressure hose off from the gas valve. This does not seem to help any more. Do you have any ideas what to try next?

The LED light on the control box is also intermitent. I don't know if this has anything to do with the problem, however.

intermittant ignition failure is so common for so many different reasons. use the search option, you will find dozens of posts on this. sounds that in your case the psi switch may be going on the fritz.
