i'm trying to install a weiser powerbolt on a steel door that had a previous deadbolt installed. the hole for the previous deadbolt was only about 1 1/2 inches - whilce the powerbolt requires a 2 1/8 inch hole. any suggestions on how to bore out this hole in a steel door???? please...

I saw tn Andy answered your question in doors and windows. I do not have any better suggestions for a single retrofit.

yes - i ended up using a piece of 1 by 6 which i had cut my 2 1/8 inch hole in - clamping it over the spot where i needed to enlarge the hole - and drilling the hole using that as a template - it kept the hole saw from bouncing around and made the hole perfectly - worked great. thanks
