I would like to put up some privacy hedges along my neighbors fence. I want something fast growing (but also native to my area - I can check this native part out myself). Any suggestions? Will the discounts at Lowes or Home Depot count towards nursery/greenery items?

Hello dseidel01
Not to step on Marturo or Bomber's toes, but if you could give us where you live or at least a Growing Zone, you'll be able to narrow down the list of acceptable plants dramatically...
My experience with HD (we don't have Lowes up here yet), is that they have quite acceptable plant material at a better price than you'll often find at Garden Centres and Nurseries. If you are looking for Native materials, just make sure that their labelling is accurate...

This is something I don't know, but would think they would since it's all part of Lowe's.
Did you find any choices from the Native plants available? Or do you still need some help in deciding?

Hi,
You can buy your material from the home depot or lowes but make sure you get it as soon as it gets off the truck otherwise it may have suffered shock due to not being cared for properly. While a good garden centre may be alittle more expensive, at least you know the material is cared for properly and the qualified staff they have will be able to steer you in the right direction as to which plant material to choose.

Hi Dseidel01! :)
Good advice here. I'm going to copy your thread over to the Lawn Forum. Perhaps you can get some more ideas over there as well
