We just built a 16x16 deck using pt wood.
The deck has 2 girder systems at seven feet using 4x4 sandwiched by 2x10's with 3/8 lags.
There are three 4x4 on each girder plus two other 4x4 posts at the stairs.
When we set the footings (42 inches)we intended the posts to sit on the concrete. Now we find that the footings had settled uneven and a few posts are not sitting flush..thus making the deck a little wobbly.
There seems to be plenty of support using the girder system but what do you recommend to tighten everything up?
